The main question is what is the purpose of the buffers for Hypex Class D amplfiers. The simple answer is that the input impedance of the Hypex Class D modules is quite low making it impossible for most pre-amplfiers to drive it. The buffers have very high input impedance and very low output impedance as well as add extra gain making them a vital part of the Class D power amplifiers.
The dimensions of these boards are the same as of the Hypex evaluations boards so that they could be used as drop in replacements. RCVTech buffers have three gain settings selectable be a switch for the total of:
High gain – 27dB
Medium gain – 22.4dB
Low gain – 12.3dB
The buffers have two audio inputs, controlled by a selector switch – Balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (or RCA).
The modules use gold plated DIP-8 IC Socket ROHS which allow multiple choices of dual channel opamps as well as Mundorf Quick Disconnect Copper Blades. We currently offer MUSES01, MUSES02 and Sparkos SS3602 but the board will fit even bigger dual discrete opamps. The opamps we offer are the ones we found to work the best with our HYPEX NCX500 and NC500 based amplifiers. They are optimized for high-end audio and professional audio applications with advanced circuitry and layout, unique material and assembled technology by skilled-craftwork.
This model has three year warranty and free shipment.
